I have been asked to calculate the risk premium on an SCIN where interest would be paid monthly, but principal would be paid annually or semi-annually. BNA's Estate & Gift Tax Planner will not do this kind of calculation. Is there any program that will or any guidance on this seemingly unconventional scheme?

Thank you.

It looks like the forum members came up dry on this one. It's one of those issues that you know is there but we haven't had to put it to practice. I guess I'd contact colleagues who use software competitors of BNA and see what they come up with.

Good luck.

we have done several of these... none in the past couple of years

my recollection is that we used numbercruncher software for the calculations

-------

woops- editing after a reread- numbercruncher does straight forward calcs... might not get the variables that you are throwing in. wonder if you could use numbercruncher as a base and then adjust for time differences- might require manual calcs
