Decedent held an annuity within her IRA. IRA beneficiary was a trust with multiple beneficiaries. Trustee took payout in a lumpsum in the current year, so now the entire distribution will be taxable. One of the beneficiaries will receive a specific bequest of $10,000 for his portion of the inheritance, to be paid out in the current year. The balance of the trust will be paid out over a few years, as the beneficiaries reach the age specified. For the current year, should a portion of the income tax on the annuity IRA follow the $10,000 distribution on a K-1. No other distributions have been made.
